2 children, woman hit by stray bullets

MANILA, Philippines — Two 10-year-old children were injured after they were hit by stray bullets during the New Year’s Eve revelry in Caloocan City, while a woman was hit by a bullet while sleeping at home in Buruanga, Aklan.

The Caloocan police identified the victims as Joven Earl Gaces and his neighbor Princess Denise.

Investigators said Gaces was hit in the liver and brought to the Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center, while Denise was hit in the stomach and is now confined at Tondo General Hospital.
