Tuguegarao City, Cagayan Province, Pilipinas - Nag Sanib pwersa ang Japan at South Korea para sa pananaliksik kasama ang suporta ng Department of Science and Technology (DOTC) ay natuklasan at natagpuan ng isang malaking deposito ng mineral at natural gas silangan ng Pilipinas sa Cagayan Valley region.

Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology (JAMSTEC) at Korea Institute of Ocean and Science Technology (KIOST), sinabi na Island sa Luzon ay merong  higit sa 6 na uri ng mga malaki at mabigat na mineral gas.
