President Rodrigo Duterte's Special Assistant Christopher Bong Go faces the Senate to speak on issues hounding the P16-billion Philippine Navy frigate project.

Most Cabinet members showed up at the Senate to show support for Bong Go who was was accused of meddling in the Navy’s frigate acquisition contract.

Actor Robin Padilla, a staunch supporter of President Duterte, also show support for President Duterte’s assistant.

“Si Heneral Bong ang pinuno natin kailangan natin siyang suportahan dahil alam naman natin na pulitika ito. Nakakapikon na. Hindi na tayo natapos,” Padilla said in a Twitter video posted by Presidential Communications Assistant Secretary Mocha Uson.

Padilla railed against Senator Antonio Trillanes IV for his latest attack on Go, saying it was meant to drag President Duterte in the controversy.

“Dadalawang taon pa lang si Presidente, talaga itong mga Magdalo na ito ayaw tumigil,” he said.

“May kasabihan tayong Pilipino, ‘yung hagupit sa kabayo yung latay. Tinitira nila si heneral Bong pero tumatama kay Presidente ‘yun syempre,” he said.

Robin also described the senator as the reincarnated General Emilio Aguinaldo in the present times.

“Ang tagal na itong klaseng politika panahon pa ni Aguinaldo. Hanggang ngayon, 1896 pa. Hanggang ngayon 2018, ganito pa rin tayo — nakakahiya,” he said.

“Nakakatuwa din naman dahil yung ibang senador, alam nilang kalokohan lang ito, sila mismo nagsasabi na wala namang sabit si heneral Bong.”

“Ang pinaka-mahalaga yung sinabi ng Philippine navy. Yun yung panghawakan nating lahat.”

Mocha asked the actor who among the senators were engaged in publicity stunt.

“Si Trillanes, wala ng iba. Sino pa ang reincarnation ni Aguinaldo? Eh di siya.” Robin said.
