Breaking! Pangulong Duterte pinangalanan ang 11 government officials na suspendido at under investigation dahil sa corruption!

President Rodrigo Duterte had once again revealed more names of government officials that are under investigation over corruption involvement and other offenses.

In a chance interview right after his meeting with Papua New Guinea Prime Minister Peter O'Neill, the President did not hesitate to name and reveal the names of the appointed and elected government officials who are involved in corruption.

The President mentioned several public officials, including prosecutors and officials from the Department of Justice (DOJ), Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), Bureau of Customs (BOC), and Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).

Pres. Duterte said those officials under probe, and names are the following: 

1. Atty. Ambrosi Basman, 

2. Atty Rohani Basman, 

3. Amisa Lumuntod, 

4. Amilquir Macabando, 

5. Department of Justice Prosecutor Atty. Samina Sampaco Macabando-Usman,

Also in the list are: 

6. OIC Pasay City Prosecutor Atty. Benjamin B. Lanto.   

7. Inquest Prosecutor Clemente Villanueva, 

8. Assistant Prosecutor Florenzo dela Cruz, 

9. NAIA District Collector Ramon Anquilan, 

10. Customs Intelligence and Investigation Division Director Adzhar Albani

"They are all suspended for now pending investigation" 

"I'm sorry but is said do not go to into [corruption]."

Duterte said he will forward the investigation findings to the Office of the Ombudsman, which is mandated to probe and prosecute government officials and employees allegedly engaged in graft and corrupt practices.

“Lahat ito ifo-forward ko sa Ombudsman. Not me. Lahat ng itong dumating, hindi kami ang mag-iimbestiga—Ombudsman."

“Mas gusto ko ang Ombudsman para walang masabi."

The Chief Executive announcement came after he revealed Justice Assistant Secretary Moslemen Macarambon Sr. and Public Works Assistant Secretary Tingagun Ampaso Umpa to resign ‘or face termination for corruption’.


It can be recalled that it was on October 4, of last year 2017 when President Duterte, through an Executive Order (EO), ordered the creation of the Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission (PAAC).

The commission were tasked to check the lifestyle and activities of all government officials "

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said more public officials may be fired soon as the PACC inherited about 400 complaints from the office of the Deputy Executive Secretary for Legal Affairs. from the time it started to perform its mandate from the Chief Executive.
