Of all the current senate members, one is outstandingly 'blabber-mouthed' when it comes to criticizing the current Duterte administration. His criticisms, senseless and groundless as they have always been, is even disseminated internationally which consequently drew unwanted attention from foreign entities.
The Senator, none other than Senator Antonio Trillanes IV, has constantly been scrutinized by critics especially by those who have long supported and trusted President Duterte.
Recently, International Trade expert MJ Quiambao Reyes, who is also a prominent pro-Duterte blogger, published a Facebook post wary of Senator Trillanes.
In the said post, Reyes made a blatant appeal to the remaining senators in the Legislative branch to commune in stopping the blabber-mouthed senator from spreading groundless lies and accusations against the Duterte which does not only besmirch the honor and integrity of the President but also taints the image of the Philippines as a whole.
Her post, addressed to all the members of the Senate particularly to Senate President Koko Pimentel, reads:
"To Senate Pres. Koko Pimentel and to all the senators:
How long will you remain mum while your fellow senator, Mr. Trillanes, is incessantly destroying our image at the international community by spreading distorted information against our government with the end in view of inviting unnecessary foreign intervention?
As the adage goes, "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." As such, ordinary Filipinos around the world are bravely standing and boldly speaking up to confront the traitor/s and combat black propaganda. We use our own resources. We put our very own lives on the line.
Opo, tinataya namin at tumataya kami para sa bayan at para sa pinaniniwalaan naming tama at makatarungan.
Question is: When will you and the rest of the good senators here find the courage to do the same and condemn the many lies that your fellow lawmaker wants the UN and the international community to believe?
Kailan po kaya kayo manininindigan? May maasahan pa ba ang taumbayan?"
