Supapal ang inabot ng mga kritiko ng desisyon ng Korte Suprema sa Quo Warranto petition laban kay Atty. Maria Lourdes Sereno. Ayon kay House Committee on Justice chair Congressman Reynaldo Umali, wala raw karapatan ang mga abogado at mga law dean na punahin ang naging pasya ng Korte Suprema at mga kasalukuyang miyembro ng Korte Supema lang daw ang may mandato na magpaliwanag ng batas at konstitusyon.

"Sa mga abogado, maging law deans na nagsasabi na mali yung Korte Suprema, eh mag-Justice muna sila ng Korte Suprema bago sila magsalita. Dahil dito sa atin ang pinakamataas na hukuman ay ang Korte Suprema," sabi ni Rep. Umali.

Pakinggan ang ilan pang pahayag ni Rep. Umali sa panayam niya sa DZMM. I-skip sa 28:00 mark para mapakinggan agad ang pahayag ng kongresista.

Tila pinaboran naman ng ilan nating mga kababayan ang komento ni Representative Umali.
