Isang Ateneo alumnus may mensahe kay Soc Villegas "Mag sorry na kayo kay Duterte, set a good example!"
Just last month, the Catholic Church released a strongly worded statement against the k!llings on churchmen. This, after Father Richmond Nilo was sh0t d3@ad by an unidentified h!tmen.
Reportedly, Fr. Nilo was about to celebrate a mass inside the Nuestra Señora dela Nieve Chapel in Brgy. Mayamot, Zaragoza, Nueva Ecija on June 10, Sunday, when the incident took place.
Before Fr. Nilo, two other priests were also k!Iled on different occasions: Fr. Mark Ventura in Gattaran of Cagayan on April 29 and Fr. Marcelito Paez in Jaen of Nueva Ecija on December 4.
As the opposition continue to drag Duterte's name on the incidents, accusing the latter that he had a hand on such trag!c events, an announcement from PNP seem to put an end on their politicking agenda.
On Monday, July 2, the Philippine National Police (PNP) announced that they have already arrested the alleged mastermind (a self-confessed 6unm@n) in the k!Iling of the Nueva Ecija Priest, proving Socrates Villegas wrong for linking the incidents to Duterte, if ever Villegas did.
Meanwhile, in a Facebook post, a staunch Duterte supporter who is an Ateneo alumnus writes a compelling message to Bishop Socrates Villegas.
Tagging the Bishop on his post, Francis Abraham said the arrested h!tman was an uncle of the catholic church's seminarian who m0Iested sextons of Fr. Nilo.
Ayan Bishop Socrates B Villegas, nahuli na ang k!Iler ni Fr Nilo. Uncle ng seminarista nyong nagmom0Iestya ng mga sakristan ni Fr. Nilo ang nagpakuha ng mga hitman.
Emphasizing that the incident was not due to an emboldened criminal, Abraham added, "The de@th of Fr. Nilo was due to a war he waged against a child m0Iester within your own Church".
The Ateneo alumnus also advised the Bishop to clean its own backyard first instead of meddling with the government's w@r on illegal drgs.
So Bishop Soc, since you were so affected by Fr. Nilo's de@th, why not honor him by carrying the cudgels and declaring war against sexu@l offenders within the catholic church. Yan ang dapat ninyong gawin, kesa pinapakialaman nyo ang War against Drgs and Criminality ng gobyerno. Linisin po ang sariling bakuran.
In addition, the staunch supporter of the Mindanaoan president mentioned Duterte's dark past that involved a priest.
Speaking of m0Iestya, naalala ko tuloy yung pagm0Iestya ng isang pari kay Duterte. Nag sorry na po ba kayo on behalf of the Church?
He later suggested to Bishop Villegas to apologize to Pres. Duterte for him to set a good example.
I suggest mag sorry na kayo, kesa kayo ang nagdedemand na mag sorry si Duterte sa inyo. Set a good example. Pakita nyo ang humility nyo so the president can also be "emboldened" to say sorry.

Meron pa kayong "They are k!Iling our flock. They are k!Iling us shepherds. They are k!Iling our faith. They are cursing our Church. They are k!Iling God again as they did in Calvary." You even asked Duterte to "stop the verbal persecution of the Catholic Church because such attacks can wittingly embolden more crimes against priests."
Well Bishop, surprise! The de@th of Fr Nilo was not due to an emboldened criminal. The de@th of Fr. Nilo was due to a war he waged against a child m0Iester within your own Church.

Ilapit ang tao sa Diyos.
